David has been in charge of our summer holiday club for more year’s than you’ve been alive! This year David is Captain of our cruiser, the Friend Ship.
When David’s not at Holiday Club he works as a producer for a famous radio station and he also co-leads Xtreme, our fun and lively club for 7-11 year olds run on Sunday mornings at RBC. It’s bursting with Bible-based games, crafts, stories, talks, prayer, drama, discussion and sillyness! He’d love to see you join him any Sunday, just come along to church at 11am and join in the fun!
When Lucy’s not on board the Friend Ship, helping Josh and Kesia stay on board, she is the Children’s Worker at Ruislip Baptist Church. Many of you might have seen her when she’s visited your school or even just around Ruislip Manor. She’d love to chat with you if you’d like to know more about what we do at RBC for children.
Don’t really know how to describe Josh, our Navigation Officer for the week. He’s a bit like tigger, he never stops, is always cheerful but is probably the worst Navigation Officer you’ll ever meet. He can find his way around a tennis court but is totally lost at sea. When Josh isn’t navigating his way around RBC (or trying to!), he’s often finding his way around the world playing or coaching tennis.
What can I say about our wonderful Entertainments Officer, Kesia? As usual she’s the most sensible crew member we have, always ensuring the crew are happy and kept busy and entertained. We should all feel a bit sorry for her as she’s got to put up with David, Lucy and Josh, I do hope she doesn’t end up feeling a bit sea sick trying to keep the boat steady! Kesia is pretty clever so I’m sure she’ll be able to keep them all under control, but she might need your help and encouragement!

What do you like best about Holiday Club?
What I like most about holiday club is seeing the children building relationships with new people and also building a relationship with God or even just asking questions about religion and what I believe.

My favourite song is Our God is a Great Big God because it tells the children how big God is and how he is something so magnificent.

KESIAAAA!
Every year some 80 folks from RBC join in the fun at our annual Summer Holiday Club.
They are part of a crew that all works together ensuring your children have fun, and are kept safe.
Like any ship, it is the engine room that drives it, so whilst we have a great Captain, Entertainments officer, Navigation officer and Medical officer, we have a fantastic team of folks who’ve spent lots of time preparing for the week, and lots will be there after the club has ended tidying up and cleaning and preparing for the next day.
